Teaching a child who is within the autism spectrum can be a very challenging but rewarding experience. It does not take a lot of time to make school a comfortable environment for the child with autism or Asperger’s, just patience and a little planning.
Watch Out for Bullying
Other children notice when another child is different and a child with Aserger’s is an obvious target. Not being able to read other people and their intentions, it is quite difficult for a child with Asperger’s to be able to recognize between friend and foe. Just that fact alone makes school a very distressing place to be.
